God has a Plan for You

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11:13

I would like to encourage everyone to be faithful to believe; to get into the timing of God; to trust Him no matter what the circumstance may be.

Often times, we become discouraged because things don’t happen in our life according to the time frame or the schedule that we've mapped out for ourselves and because of this, we have a tendency to misdirect our focus or attention away from the intention of God. But, we have to realize that God is an all knowing; all seeing, all capable God who is constantly working on our behalf. But, He’s working in His time; not ours. Once we realize this, our hope in Christ Jesus should never waver. So even when things don’t work out according to our schedule, God should continue to be the center of our joy, He should continue to be the one we rely on. Remember that we are not operating on our strength nor our timing. God is the creator of all and He is always moving things in the atmosphere, stirring things up down here on this earth, shifting things and you, setting things in the way that He would have it to go for His glory; not mine, not yours, but His. This is what God tells Isaiah:

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.  He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.  Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:  But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:28-31

This chapter in Isaiah is one of comfort but it also teaches patience to the children of Israel to let them know that their reliance should remain faithful to God that they would not always be in captivity and that their restoration would come. So though you may grow faint in your spirit and weary in your walk, don’t give up your hope in Jesus that He will do what is promised in His word.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.   Galatians 6:9

He tells us in his word, on farther down in Isaiah that His word will accomplish what He desires and achieve the purpose for which He sent it. So don’t forget the condition: it’s for those who hope in the Lord. Make this your declaration:

My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean in Jesus' name.

Apostle Paul tells the Roman church to Rejoice in hope; to be patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.

Here is my prayer of encouragement for today:

Dear heavenly Father, we thank You for this opportunity to once again come before You in prayer. We thank You Lord for one more day; for the dawning of this day; for allowing us to see another day; for keeping us through this day, for watching over us, for keeping us from hurt, harm and danger; for allowing us to wake in our right mind, with our health and our strength and a desire to serve You, for bringing us thus far through this day, Lord, for Your traveling mercy; keeping us safe in our comings and our goings.

And now Lord, we look to You for our strength; You say in Your word that power belongs to You. So then Lord we know that whatever we need, You are able through Your sovereignty. We believe in Your word Oh God and have faith to believe that all things are possible through You. In all things we trust You. In the good times and the bad times, when things are going our way and even when they seemingly are not, our trust; our hope is still in You. Help us to understand and believe that all things are working together for the good – even when we can’t see it Lord. Help us Lord to be faithful to believe in You and Your word.

We trust You Lord God for our healing. Remember those among us that are in need of a touch from You Lord.  We call on You as our Jehovah Rapha; the Lord God our healer.

Lord, we know that all things are possible through You. Teach us patience Lord to abide in Your timing; trusting and believing that You are able to bring us to that expected end; to that which You have ordained and purposed for us. Let Your perfect will be done in our life. Move us from fear to faith. From depression to delight in You; faithful to believe on Your promises. Let Your will be president in our lives. Process a ‘yes’ in us; a yes to Your will, a yes to Your way, a yes to Your word. Help us to be obedient to Your word so that we can be all that You require us to be. We are Your instruments to be used for Your glory. Let Your glory be revealed through us.

Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.  Romans 6:13

Lord, You are the lifter of our heads, even as we’re to lift You up. We thank You for Your goodness and Your mercy. When we trust in You, Your goodness and mercy, they follows us. Even as You’re faithful to forgive, help us to be faithful to believe in You and Your word. Help us to believe in Your sovereignty; that all things are possible through You. Help us to keep holding on to You; take away the spirit of defeat. We shouldn't worry because You said in Your word that we have victory in You. Help our unbelief Lord. Take us to a higher place in You.

Lord we worship and adore You. We worship You Lord, You’re so holy that there is none like You, we love You Lord. Nothing compares to You. We bless Your holy name. Lord Your name is far above all other names. Lord You said that if we lift You up that You would draw all men unto you. Don’t let us forget that it’s not about us, but about Your manifested glory.

You gave us the precious gift of the holy ghost so that we would have power to witness unto all men. We’re on the battle field; soldiers for You; help us to stay directed and focused on You and the battle that is waging around us. Help us to be the light in this world filled with sin; darkened by iniquity and polluted by evil. Help us to stand up and proclaim Your name in our speech and in our actions. Lord, where ever we go, in our homes, on our jobs, where ever we go, let your glory be revealed; make us glory carriers for You; willing and able instruments.

Lord, even now, we plead the blood against every thing that is not like You. Lord we ask, in the name of Jesus, that You intercede on our youth; loose the bonds that are enslaving our children, give them a hunger and thirst for You Lord, for righteousness. Give us, the parents and guardians, wisdom to raise them and train them in Your ways; to teach them to love and serve You. Lord give us a passion to work for You, to be about our heavenly father’s business.  Help us to be willing, submissive and obedient servants to you.

In all things Lord, we acknowledge You and look to You for direction. We pray for our spiritual leaders and pastors that You keep them covered in the blood. Lord we pray that You lift a standard of holiness among our pastors and shepherds, Lord that they remain humble in Your sight and that they do according to Your will; never forgetting that it is no goodness of our own, but through Your grace and your mercy that we live, move and have our very being.   Lord we ask that you intervene on behalf of our governmental leaders; that you place God fearing men and women among them.

Because of who You are Lord, we thank You, we give You the honor and the glory, we thank You for Your sovereignty. We thank you Lord, because in the midst of it all, Lord, I know that You are with us. We thank You for the plan that You've designed for each one of our lives. We thank you Lord because we know that Your will is good, it is acceptable and it is perfect.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  Romans 12:2

Lord we pray for every person that doesn't know You, Lord, that You deal with them in such a way that they see You and recognize You for who You are. Give them a desire; a hunger and a thirst for You. Help us Lord on this battlefield of unsaved souls; help us to be fully adorned in Your armor so that we are a help and not a hindrance to those that are lost and need You. Help them who are distressed over the cares of the world. Loose the bonds of worry; redirect their thoughts to You. You said in Your word that in all our ways, we are to acknowledge You and it’s You that will direct our path. Help them to cast their cares on You; to put their problems and their situations in Your hands.

My continuous petition before You, Lord, is that the body of Christ keep our trust and our hope firmly in You; that we don’t waver, that we don’t become deceived by the enemy, but rather we become an anointed force to be reckoned with as we move and operate in Your power.

In Your name Lord, we thank you for all that You’ve done and all that you’re going to do; in your name, Jesus, we pray, amen.

Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus,
and shall present us with You.
For all things are for your sake, that the abundant grace
might through the thanksgiving of many redound (return) to the glory of God.
For which cause we faint not;
but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment,
worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
While we look not at the things which are seen,
but at the things which are not seen:
for the things which are seen are temporal;
but the things which are not seen are eternal.
II Corinthians 4:14-18

Glory, get us to that place Lord!

God bless you all.

God is Great!

In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name for ever. Selah.  (Psalms 44:8)

So now Israel, what do you think God expects from you? Just this: Live in his presence in holy reverence, follow the road he sets out for you, love him, serve God, your God, with everything you have in you, obey the commandments and regulations of God that I’m commanding you today—live a good life.  Look around you: Everything you see is God’s—the heavens above and beyond, the Earth, and everything on it.  God, our God, is the God of all gods, he’s the Master of all masters, a God immense and powerful and awesome.  Deuteronomy 10:12-17

I’m always grateful for another day that God has kept me and as King David declares, I will boast in the Lord every chance I get.

For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.  Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me  about with songs of deliverance. Selah.  I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go : I will guide thee with  mine eye.  Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must  be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.  Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall  compass him about.  Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in  heart.  Psalms 32:6-11

In everything that we do, in every place that we go, we ought to glorify God to the highest and make it known that we are a child of the King and that we serve the one true living God.  We ought to boast in the Lord of His goodness.  We should be lively stones, not sad sacks complaining of all the negative things surrounding us.

So even now, as we begin to pray, we want to thank God for His goodness unto us; for the things that He has done and the things that He is doing and the things that He is going to do!

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You on this day Lord for Your grace and for Your mercy; for allowing us to see another day.  Lord we thank You because You first loved us, Lord, You love us with an everlasting love; more than we love our self, with a love that surpasses all understanding, and we thank You for it Lord.  We bless Your Holy Name.  Thank you Lord for your promises!

Lord we thank You that You are not like man that You should lie nor like the son of man that You should repent; if You spoke it, it will be done.  We thank You Lord for Your consistency; because You're faithful; and Your faithfulness does not waver.  We thank You Lord for Your longsuffering, Your loving kindness and for Your mercy towards us.   We thank You Lord because Your word is forever settled in Heaven and it will accomplish that for which it was sent.  Lord we thank You for the very plans that You have pre-destined for our life and Lord we pray that those plans be walked out and fulfilled by us.

We thank You Lord because You know our need and we know that You are a provider of those needs.  When we walk in Your will, Lord, we know that the provision comes from You; Lord that You will make a way for us.

Help us Lord to forgive our enemies even as You are faithful to forgive us our sins and our shortcomings.  Help us Lord to love in the manner in which You require.  Help us Lord to grow in the spirit of love which we know is Your very nature; a part of the fruit of the spirit. Lord You said in your word to follow peace with all men and holiness without which no one can see You.  Help us Lord to come together in unity and love.

Purge us Lord that we may emerge with clean hands, a right spirit and a pure heart so that we can abound stronger in You Lord.   Help us Lord to continue pressing toward the high calling of You in Jesus Christ.   Lord we thank You for Your grace; you said in your word that your grace is sufficient to keep us.  Lord You said in Your word that You will not forsake us.

Lord, You said in Your word that we are to trust You with all of our heart.  You said to lean not to our own understanding but rather, that in all of our ways we are to acknowledge You and that You will direct our path.  We thank You Lord for your direction in our life today.  Our continuous pray is that You have Your way in our life.  Guide us with Your counsel Lord and through the Holy Spirit.

Help us to know and accept that You are the potter, Lord, and we are the clay, mold us and make us into what we need to be in You – into what You have called us to be.

Lord we know that there is nothing too hard for You.  That which You have spoken You are able to perform and we know through our faith in You that it will come to past.   Lord we pray for our spiritual leaders; that you strengthen and keep then built up in You, Lord that they continuously lift Your standard.  Lord we pray for the body of Christ that we remain steadfast in You and Your word!  Lord remember the sick among us, the elderly, the frail, the widows and widowers, the feeble, Lord and those that have lost loved ones.  Bring peace and comfort and strength in the name of Jesus.  Lord, we plead the blood of the lamb, of Jesus against every evil and demonic influence that comes against us.  We know at the blood, everything unlike You has to flee because there is power in the blood of Jesus.

We thank You Lord because You are a present help in the time of trouble.  And when we call upon You, You will come down and see about us.  That is an honor and a privilege that is undeserved and we praise You  for it Lord!

Lord we thank You because You are our stronghold in the time of adversity.  We thank You Lord because You uphold us in Your right hand!  We thank you Lord because You are our hiding place; You surround us with Your promises of deliverance.

Lord we thank You because we serve an AWESOME God; the one true God, the living God, the great I AM, the almighty God, the only WISE God.  Our Jehovah Rapha, (our healer), our Jehovah Nissi, (our banner), our Elohim (our power and might), our Jehovah Rohi (our shepherd), our Jehovah Jireh (our provider), our Jehovah Shalom (our peace), omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, Hallelujah!  In You, Lord, we are complete, because in everything, You are!   You tell us in Your word that ‘power belongs to you.’  We ask even now, in the precious name of Jesus, Lord God, that You move in the atmosphere, Lord that you stir up the atmosphere, that you let Your healing power flow, Lord that you right the wrongs in our lives, send a refreshing and strengthen us in You oh Lord.

We thank You Lord for the comforter (the Holy Spirit) that You sent unto us; even to reside within us, to lead, guide and direct our steps and cause us to walk in Your statutes.  We thank You Lord for Your Holy Spirit that makes intercession for us when we don’t know what we should be praying for.

Heavenly Father, we pray today that you intervene in every situation that is not in accordance to Your will.  Lord we pray for healing of mind, heart, spirit and body; knowing that you are able above measure.  Help us, Lord, Your glory carriers, to proclaim Your name, to lift Your name.  You said in Your word that if we lift You up that You would draw all men to You.  Let our conversations and our deportment honor You today, let it bring glory to Your name.  Every day, help us to remember Lord, that it is not about us, but about You and Your manifested glory.

Lord we bless Your holy name today and we reverence You, we love You, Lord we magnify Your holy name.  Lord we place no one and nothing before or above You.  Once more, Lord we thank you in the wonderful name of Jesus.  Amen.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust."  Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence.  He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.  You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.  A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.  Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.  Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.  In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.   You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. "Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.  He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.  With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation."   Psalm 91:1-16

God bless you with peace and joy; may His grace abound in your life.

Angels and Spiritual Warfare

Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?
Hebrews 1:14

As was presented yesterday, the messenger angels are the group that usually relates to the believer in terms of spiritual warfare. They interpret God's will, protect, provide guidance, bring answers to prayer, announce, warn, instruct, bring judgment, encourage, sustain, deliver, and intercede on behalf of believers in battle.   God tells us in His word that angels are His servants, sent by Him into the world to serve His will.

Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.  Exodus 23:20

Angels are sent by God to protect us and help us inherit His full kingdom.

Many believers have not availed themselves of the aid available from angels because they have not been taught regarding their function in spiritual warfare. They are "ministering spirits" and can minister for you as well as to you.  Just as King David did, we too can ask God to dispatch angels to assist us in our challenges of life.  During one of King David’s battles, he did this. He prayed...

Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the Lord chase them.  Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the Lord persecute them. (Psalms 35:5-6)

There are many biblical accounts of God’s heavenly host, the angels, interceding on our behalf.  Here are several accounts of angels participating in warring against the enemy:

And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the Lord went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpsesII Kings 19:35

And the Lord sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth of his own bowels slew him there with the sword.  II Chronicles 32:21

Then the angel of the Lord went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.  Isaiah 37:36

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,  Revelation 12:7

Angels are holy beings with important ministries on behalf of believers. They are part of the spiritual forces of good created by God.   To us, they are powerful, majestic creatures but the Bible gives some warnings concerning angels:

Ö          Do Not Worship Them:                        You are not to worship angels:

Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshiping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind. (Colossians 2:18)

And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellow servant and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: Worship God. (Revelation 22:8-9)

Ö          Reject Angels Preaching "Another Gospel":

Some people have claimed to see angels who gave them a "new revelation" contrary to God's written Word. Entire religious movements have been founded on such false revelations. The Bible warns us that:

But though we, or an angel from Heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.          (Galatians 1:8)

We are not to listen to a man, an angel, or any other being that would guide you contrary to God's Word.   One of the main strategies of Satan is deception. The Bible warns us:

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. (II Corinthians 11:14)

Ö          Do Not Provoke The Angels:

In the account of Balaam, a prophet who was acting in disobedience to God. We find that he was opposed by an angel of the Lord. When you are disobedient to God, the angels may actually hinder you.

Then the Lord opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.  And the angel of the Lord said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me:  Numbers 22:31-31

You will be fighting a battle, but it will not be warfare against the enemy. Be careful that you do not provoke the angels of God

Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?   (Ecclesiastes 5:6)

King David, in his celebration of God in his mercy and His loving kindness towards us, also acknowledges the majesty of the angels who do God’s bidding, intervene and protect on His behalf, and are obedient to His word.
The LORD has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all. Praise the LORD, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His bidding, who obey His word. Praise the LORD, all His heavenly hosts, you His servants who do His will. Praise the LORD, all His works. Everywhere in His dominion. Praise the LORD, my soul.  Psalms 103:19-22

Angels Watching Over Me

There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.  For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.  They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.  Psalms 91:10-12

Angels are active on earth. This is documented in the word of God by the varied ministries and many appearances of angels to people recorded in the Bible.

Angels minister in many ways in both Heaven and earth.  Through the written word, we can understand the importance of angels in spiritual warfare.  Angels are instructed and prepared to intercede on our behalf.  Jesus understood this while in the rocess of being led away to be crucified.

Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?  But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?  Matthew 26:53-54

And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.  Revelation 16:1

Bringing answers to prayer:

Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.  And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding. Daniel 9:21-22

And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;  Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.  Revelation 5:11-12

Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.  And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.  Isaiah 6:3

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  I Thessalonians 4:16

Gathering the elect:

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.  Matthew 24:31

Warning and preaching during the tribulation:

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,  Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.  And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.  And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,  Revelation 14:6-9

Separating the wicked from the righteous:

The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,  Matthew 13:39 and 49

Binding Satan:

And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.  And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,  Revelation 20:1-2
