Dear Jesus I love you.  You supply my every need and with this one thought in mind, I know just where to go and who to call!  






I can call on you anytime of the day or night and you are there; you send your ministering angels to comfort me, you make ways for me that I could not on my own make.  You supply me with wisdom, knowledge, joy and strength sufficient for the journey.  For this and much more, I say thank you Jesus!

I’ve had my set of heartache and shed many tears.  But God . . .  

I never would have made it had it not been for God’s grace and mercy.  Looking back over my life and what God has brought me through, I have to lift my hands and say thank you Lord.  Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me; I have to say thank you Lord!  I’m healed now, I’m free now, I’m restored now, it’s done!  God’s grace and mercy did, is and will keep me!

You’ve always been there to provide all my needs.

We sometimes journey and we do not know which way to turn. But there is one who knows the rough road and He will help you carry your heavy load. Don’t you know that God is able; even when clouds gather all around you.  

   

He’ll be your mother, your father , your joy when you're in sorrow, your hope for tomorrow, just as He was Daniel's stone rolling, Ezekiel's wheel burning Moses' bush burning and Solomon's rose of Sharon. He's my strong tower, I call him Jesus; my sweet Jesus. Surely God is able! Surely, God is able to carry you through! When you’ve tried everything and everything has failed, try Jesus; He can deliver when you’re wracked with pain, He is a healer. 

There’s nothing to hard for God. Whatever you need from God, just believe that He’s able! Have you ever tried Him; do you know . . .

Lord I praise you for everything you've done for me.  I give my all to you.  I give you a Yes in my heart. Yes in my spirit. Yes to Your way. Yes to Your will. Yes for everything you've done for me!

I can tell you today with total assurance that God will never leave you nor forsake you.  Don't be discouraged today.  Learn to look to God to satisfy you and meet all of your needs in ways that you can not even imagine!  Learn God and understand; settle in your mind that there is not a pain, not a sorrow, not a hurt, not a disappointment on this earth that our God above cannot heal, cure, eliminate, eradicate or handle!  He is the sovereign; all powerful, all knowing, all caring, all loving king of Kings!

I praise God daily for redirecting my steps from the path of hell; for saving me.  Though this is my greatest testimony, I don't want this to be my only testimony.  God saved me for His purpose in my life to be fulfilled.  That means I have to give up me and adopt a God-first mentality.  My needs, wants desires, etc.  come secondary to God's will.   Seeking the Kingdom of God means I have to change my direction to God's direction, go where He leads me; fully trusting that in Him, I will never be led astray!

That's love in action; that God would send that which is precious to Him to deliver us and give us the opportunity to unite with Him!  The scripture tells us that we should thank God for the very name of Jesus who was obedient to the Father that sent Him as the propitiation for our sins.   

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.  Hebrews 13:15

As believers and followers of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ,we belong to Him; heart mind, body and soul!  Our total allegiance is to be to Him at all times.  It is not just an occasional event such as a church service, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school.  It is a day by day, minute by minute, second by second occurrence that we yield all of ourselves to God for His will and His good pleasure.

What a comforting and enabling thing to know that it is through Jesus that our faith is begun.  So it is through Him that I can go day by day walking by faith that God's will for me will be fulfilled.  No matter what comes my way, I will still hold on - having faith in the one who paved the way - having faith (being fully persuaded) that my path has already been prepared for me and the God that I serve has already ordained for me a plan for good; not for evil.

Let the Joy of the Lord be your strength in times of distress.  Allow God's grace; His unmerited favor, carry you through your difficult times.  Put all your reliance in God and trust Him to see you through!  He promised to never leave nor forsake us!  He is right there in middle of it all; even when it doesn't feel like it.  Don't get faint, know that afterwards, there will be glory in your story!

The world is full of doubt, disbelief, scorn, lies, ridicule, disdain and hatred; fueled by the evil influences of the enemy, Satan.  The believers of God can not, must not allow ourselves to be influenced by the effects or the invitation of the unbelievers.  We must develop and maintain a mindset that we are fully persuaded that nothing will separate us from the love of God; that we will serve God despite our circumstances; rather we are up or down; rather our friends and loved ones believe or not - we will serve God with our whole heart.

As a child, I remember a simple song we used to sing:  I got it, I got it.  There's something about the Holy Ghost!  I don't understand it, but I got it!  I'm so thankful now that yes, I have it and I understand it!  The Holy Ghost, [as the bible refers to it]; the comforter, the keeper; that force within you that allows you to stand up against the evil that tries to influence us to go against the very nature of God - is what we need and what was promised to us through Jesus!  I got it, what about you?

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  2 Peter 3:9

I will forever be grateful because God was longsuffering to me in that while I was still in a sinful state He didn't cut me off; He allowed His grace and mercy to keep me and His loving kindness to draw me back to Him.  I often think of Romans 1:21 - when they knew God, they glorified Him not.  That was me!  And so now, I thank my Lord and Savior every day that Godly sorrow for my sin overtook my heart and I was able through the grace of God to return to His fold!  If you have sin in your life, if you are not serving God in the manner that He requires, repent and turn to God while His grace and mercy is still extended to you.  God loves you so much he extends the invitation of eternal life through Him.

You don't have to take my word for it.  God, through His blameless son, said it.  That settles it!  I believe it!

The disciple Peter preached his first sermon shortly after receiving the promise of the comforter.  His message, in response to the mockery of the crowd that had gathered, was delivered with such power and authority because he was infused with the power of the Holy Spirit.  The crowd that mocked the 120 in the upper room where the Holy Spirit had descended were now convicted and wanted to know what must they do to be saved.
  

The first thing Peter told them was to repent.  Repentance is the first step.  It is an inward conviction or change of heart; a Godly sorrow and it is followed by an outward demonstration, baptism in the name of the one who died so that we may have access to salvation.  Thank God for Jesus who, through His death, burial and Resurrection paved the way for us to re-connect with our heavenly father.

There is a song that says, when I look back over my life and I think things over, I realize I have a testimony.  As I prepare to minister God's word this evening, I can't help but reflect where God has brought me from.  At a time when I couldn't see my my up for my down, when I was in a pit of dispair, yet, God's grace allowed me to remain faithful to God.  Realizing that though it hurt, it was building Godly characteristics in me for such a time as this!  




God is truly AWESOME; He hid me in the secret place - the almighty shadow of His wings as He worked in me the desire to come into compliance with His good, perfect and acceptable will.

God tells us He will never leave us nor forsake us - He is there through the good, the bad and everything in between.  We have to have faith that God knows what He is doing; that He is in complete control of our lives and when we are in our seemingly hopeless situations He is there carrying us, shielding us in His secret place.  This song is so beautiful and depicts Gods goodness towards us:

I was there in the middle of your pain.  I was there when they tried to take your hope away
I was there when you didn't know your right from wrong.  I was there when your friends walked out on you I was there when you didn't know what to do.  When you searched and found all of your family was gone; when you couldn't see your night from day.  I was there when you couldn't find your way.  I was there from the beginning until the very end.  I was there, I was there.  It was me, I was there, I heard every plea.

Praise God this morning for waking me with my health, strength and right mind. I have so much to thank God for; so many blessings and so many open doors, brand new mercies every day.  I rejoice in God because not only am I a precious commodity to Him, He has given me some precious commodities that is far better than anything this world has to offer; namely salvation though Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to keep me in all of His ways!

I thank God for letting me see His presence in my life; in the good and especially the bad, He was right there - in the beginning, in the midst and the end.  The Author and Finisher of my Faith.  I'm thankful for every last one of my faith building experiences!  Through those experiences God let me know this about Him:

I am God, all by myself, I don't need any help.  I can handle things on my own.  I am the first and the last.  Whatever you need just ask for I am, I am I am God

I was there in the beginning and I'll be there when you get to the end.  I'm all seeing, All knowing, Almighty, ever showing!  For I am, I am, I am God .  All of my promises, Oh yes, I all of my promises, you can trust.  Just stand still an know that I am!

I have found that no matter how good the intentions of man, my faith is 100% in God!  It is on His promises that I stand.  I believe what He tells us in His word.  I have faith that God will do exactly what He says.  Therefore, if God said it, that's good enough for me; that settles it!  And if by chance, I falter in my faith, I pray, Lord, help my unbelief so that I may continue in my pursuit of holiness!

When I was a child, I acted as a child.  Just as in the natural, we grow and mature, spiritually, we do the same.  One day, I realized that I was changed; a new creature in God.  Old things [anger, insecurity, depression, fear, doubt] had passed away and all things were new [peace, joy, strength, conviction]!  God has made a change in my life and what a wonderful change it is.  Because He changed me, I have the capacity to care, to love, to worship, to praise God in spirit and in truth; honoring him as the only one true, wise and living God; the only one through which salvation is possible.

First and foremost, our aim and desire should be to please God!  It doesn't matter what people say about you; good or bad, your title and position should not have a hold on you.  Money, fame, power, spouse, children, family, material possessions should all be secondary to God.  Heaven and earth and everything in between is going to pass away.  In the end, only what you do for Christ is what will matter.




But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.   1 Thessalonians 2:4

Spiritual Goal #9:

To be fully sold out and committed to God!  I know it may not always be easy, but my trust is fully in God.  My mindset is that no matter what I go through, I may bend, but I won't break.  I'm absolutely convinced that nothing - nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable - absolutely nothing can get between me and God's love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced me.I know who I am and to whom I belong!  Romans 14:5  tells us to let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

WELCOME TO MY 2015!

When I look back over my life, I can truly say that I have been blessed! That is a song, but it is also my testimony!

My brothers and sisters, I could write a book on how good God has been to me throughout my life. Sometimes I am astounded that during a time when I consciously, knowingly made a choice to reject God, His grace covered me! When I participated in and did things that I knew where wrong, God extended His mercy towards me. I should have been dead, lost in my sins, but His love said not so. Hislong-suffering bore with me and His loving kindness drew me back to Him. Now am I safe in His arms! When I had no purpose or direction, God has filled me with His good, acceptable and perfect will! Never again will I be lost and drifting in a world of sin, fear, degradation and shame. I am a child of the King and I am determined to live my life as one.

God requires His elect, even those who proclaim they are a child of God, to come out from among the world; to be separate and holy.  Because I don't want my living to be in vain; contrary to the will of God, this is my next spiritual goal:  To operate from a spiritual-minded place.  No matter what, my light will shine for all the world to see God through my words and my actions!  

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2

When the enemy comes against you . . .

Light, space, zest - that's God! So, with him on my side I'm fearless, afraid of no one and nothing. When vandal hordes ride down ready to eat me alive, Those bullies and toughs fall flat on their faces. When besieged, I'm calm as a baby. When all hell breaks loose, I'm collected and cool. I'm asking God for one thing, only one thing: To live with him in his house my whole life long. I'll contemplate his beauty; I'll study at his feet. That's the only quiet, secure place in a noisy world, The perfect getaway, far from the buzz of traffic.

Good morning all of my Google family, friends and communities!  As we near the end of this year, I want to take the time to thank all of you who have welcomed me into your life by reading my daily blogs and posts.  God has richly blessed me for my obedience to Him in sharing His word across the internet!  

I encourage each of you to take the time during this holiday season to sanctify the moment by giving thanks to our heavenly Father for loving us so much; for having so much compassion toward us, that He gave His only begotten son as a final sacrifice for our sins so that we may achieve eternal residence through and with Him!  Jesus truly is the reason for the season!

God will do it every time! Thank you Lord; You are my everything. You are my:

- Shelter in my storms
- Strength when I'm weak and worn
- Joy in my sorrow
- Hope for my tomorrow

Unless you've been in a seemingly helpless situation, you'll never experience the wonder-working power of God to avenge those that He calls His own!

And yet while I give you all the honor, glory and the praise, I have to thank You most of all, Lord, because I could have died in my sins, but You and You alone, lifted me out of sin and shame - salvation is priceless!

Not because I've been so faithful and not because I've been so good, but God has always been there for me.  He is my shelter from the rain, guiding my footsteps.    It was God who made my life complete.  Jesus is everything to me.  Jesus; I love Him because He cares.  I can't imagine if He weren't there what my life would be.  Jesus is the joy of my salvation; the peace in my storm.  Jesus’ loving arms protect me and shelter me from harm.  Jesus, my alpha and omega; the beginning and the end, my strong tower; my dearest and best friend; Jesus who knows my beginning and my end – I worship and adore Him.   For Jesus’ unmerited grace, tender mercy, loving kindness; not just because of what He’s done, but for who He is I proclaim:  Jesus I love you, just as you expect, with all of my heart, soul, mind and strength!

When I was drifting like a ship without a sail, God's love came and rescued me.  Thank God, I have been redeemed from the hand of the enemy.  I now have life and that more abundantly!  Jesus paid the price for me when He gave His life on Calvary.  Oh, what manner of love is this that God loves us so much that He would give His son as a final sacrifice that we may have eternal life through Him.  How precious is that; how precious is His name!  Thank God,  I have been redeemed.

I praise God because with Him, I am never alone, I don't have to worry because I am never alone as long as I have Him in my life. God walks beside me all the way. It is He who guides my footsteps everyday! God tells us in His word that He would never leave us nor forsake us. He sent the comforter; His Holy Spirit to keep us in all of our ways. Learn to lean on the comforter, let Him wrap you in His love, peace, and joy. Let His love for you strengthen you.

Why should I feel sad and alone when Jesus is my captain; a constant friend is He. His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches over me!

I sing because I am happy, I sing because I am free. What great consolation we have in Jesus Christ. He died for our sins so that we may be set free; no longer bound by sin and shame. We have fellowship with our heavenly Father. Thank you Jesus for caring; for watching over me.

I'm still singing:

I have  a testimony this morning!  God had me in a place (what we call suffering) while He worked on me - me the clay, He the potter.  It began in 2009.  There were many times when I thought I would not, indeed, could not make it, couldn't take it anymore.  I started off strong thinking I could do it on my own strength.  Those times when I would have fainted, my God carried me.   Late in the midnight hour when I thought all hope was gone, His angels ministered to me.

After about two years, God let me know that he had brought me out of the dark place I was in and indeed, I could actually see the light.  In other words, my suffering as I knew it was over.  Then He began to work on my patience; patience to wait on Him and trust that He is always in full control; knows exactly what we need and will work out everything to the good for His glory!   God has worked everything out in my life; I'm not just looking at the light, I am in the light.  I now understand what Peter meant in I Peter 5:10 - 

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish , strengthen, settle you.

All I need is a touch from you Lord. No one else can do the things You do. Take the wrong in my life and make it right. All I need is a touch from you; from my master and king. Lord I'm standing in the need of prayer. When I call, Lord I know You are there. Reach Your hand down from heaven and pull me through. All I need is just a single touch from You; the master. If you touch me, I'll change my lose to win. You make my wrongs right. You won't forsake me. You'll touch me and hold on. Touch me with your unchanging hand that will not weary even when I'm weary, torn and worn out. If you put your healing hands on me every one of my sins will be washed away. I want to be made over; everything I've ever needed is in your touch. I won't move until you touch me. All I need is a touch from you!

- Thank you Brian Courtney! You call this a simple prayer, but it really touched me in it's power to realize that it is God who sustains me. Absolutely nothing I do, but for your grace and mercy, can carry me through; can sustain me through my trying times. My continuous prayer Lord, is that you keep your hand on me.
