Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
Luke 22:42

There is an air of excitement and electricity regarding the prophetic word that has been spoken over the lives of the saints of the most high God!  In talking about coming out of obscurity into the marvelous light, I want to share with you an account from the bible of someone who was in a dark place in his life.  In this account, found in Luke  8:26-40, Jesus visits a city and delivers a man that is demon possessed.  This man is so grateful that he wants to stay with Jesus but Jesus tells him no, he wants him to go spread the good news of what Jesus had done for him.  What we need to know is that God is not bringing us out of obscurity based on our own selfish wants and needs; He is doing it in order for His will to be completed in the earth.  The light is not for our own personal satisfaction but it is to be a magnet to draw people to God; it is to show the way to Christ!  Verse 39 tells us that this man published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.  He spoke the words but his life was a shining example that no one could deny that he had been delivered from his dark place.

He let the townspeople see and hear of the wonderful thing that Jesus had done for him.    He was obedient and submissive to the will of God!  This is important to note because His desire was to stay with Jesus and become a follower but when Jesus said no, he left and did as he was instructed.

We know this to be true because verse 40 tells us that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him.
There is no doubt in my mind that some people, just like today, came to spectate but the bible lets us know some came to receive!

The woman with the issue of blood came to get her healing.  I can imagine her saying if Jesus  could cast out all those demons in him, surely He can take away this issue in me!
Jarius was there wanting his dying daughter to be delivered. And when it seemed that all hope was gone, Jesus did the impossible and brought her back to life.

My question to you is will you publish the good news of Jesus Christ not only verbally but through your lifestyle to the point that you compel people to come and witness and participate in this mighty move of God!

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank You for the life You’ve given us, for our health and for our strength.  We thank You Lord for being in our right minds today; for having a mind to serve You.  We thank You for one more opportunity to unite in prayer and supplication before You.  We come to You, heavenly Father, with thanks giving in our hearts knowing that it is You and only You that is able to supply our every need; to equip us to run this race, to defeat everything that comes up against us, everything that is not like You and in so doing allow us to come out victoriously.

Lord Jesus, we thank You today for knowing who You are!  We thank You for the power that You’ve invested in us.  Lord we thank You for the desire to walk worthy of the calling that You’ve placed within us.  Lord we ask for Your continued involvement  as we strive to do your will.  We thank you because we know that all things are possible through You.  Lord we’re asking in the mighty name of Jesus that you remove every stumbling block, every hindrance, everything not like You as we go about Your heavenly business.  Allow us to move in love, peace and harmony; united by Your Holy Spirit within us.  Lord we pray for spiritual success in You.

We’re thanking You in advance for the miraculous work that is being done in your name.  Lord we pray for every pastor, every leader, every church member, every visitor, guest and friend that proclaims you as their Lord and Savior.  Lord we ask that You rid us of all pride and fear and everything else that is not of you!  To your glory, use us God!  Let this be the start of a powerful move in your name – Lord let our collective light shine brightly in this sin-blackened world and let it shed abroad so the lost, the unbeliever, the questioning, the faltering, the confused and everyone else that doesn’t know You for who you are recognize that it is only through you, through your infinite grace and mercy that they can achieve salvation and a hope that transcends this world!

Lord, You said in Your word that You know the thoughts that You have for us; thoughts of good and not of evil.  Help us Lord to see what You see and walk in that direction.  Help us Dear Lord to make the right choice; that is to choose You in all of our ways.  Our heart says yes Lord, we will serve You and it will not be a duty or an obligation but a lifestyle!  Lord we acknowledge before You that we just can’t do without You, we can’t win without You, we need Your power and Your strength.  We realize that it is no goodness of our own; nothing that we can say or do, but You Lord, in your sovereignty, that keeps us and allows us to accomplish Your will in our lives.

Help us Lord to receive each other even as You receive us.  Lord You said in Your word that we would be known by our love one for another.    Create in us, oh Lord, a clean heart, a renewed spirit, a right spirit in You that we may follow peace with all men.  Let our love and our light shine so that those who are lost and those that may have given up hope, Lord, those who are struggling, those who are discouraged can realize that there is hope in You through us.  Lord we know that You are a sustainer, a keeper, a mind regulator, a comforter, a bringer of peace and somebody needs You for just that purpose.  We know that You are a supplier of our every need.  All we need do is come to you.

Lord, we ask even now that through the spiritual leaders You've given us, continue to give us clarity so that we’re not so easily deceived by false doctrine and the deception of the enemy.  Lord we ask that you send a refreshing to our spiritual leaders; that you keep them built up in you; always abounding in Your word and in Your will.  Keep them humble before you Lord.

We thank You heavenly Father because we know You as our keeper, the lover of our souls, the comforter, the King of kings and Lord of lords, You are the great ‘I AM’.   You are the one true living God and there is none like You; You said in Your word that “before Moses, I am”.   You are the beginning and the end, alpha and omega.   There is none beside You; You are incomparable; You are the creator and it is through You that we live, move and have our very being.  Without You, we were nothing, but through You, we are now heirs to Your holy throne . . . and for that we say thank you!   You said in Your word that we can:

. . . come boldly unto the throne of grace,  that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.  Hebrews 4:16

Help us Lord, in these last days, to stand for You, to take a position and make that position known; that You are the one true living God, the only wise God; the wonder-working God of miracles; the one that never fails, the author and finisher of our faith.  Help us Lord to be bold soldiers for You; instruments that You can use for Your will – that Your glory may be manifest.  Help us Lord to get and keep Your word in our heart; Lord, to meditate on it day and night.  It’s in Your word that we learn how to combat the enemy, that we learn how to dress for spiritual warfare so that when we become faint, we can still stand steadfast and strong in Your word.

We need You Lord in our life to purge us of everything that is not like You so that we can live the life that You have purposed for us.  We need You Lord to search our hearts and our minds and remove everything that is not like You.

Lord, help us to be strong and of good courage knowing that You will never leave us nor forsake us.

Lord, help us to keep our hope in You and know that You are our solid rock, our fortress, our refuge.  In Your word, You tell us that he that abides under the shadow of the most high shall dwell in the secret place of the almighty – we thank You Lord for being our refuge – for giving us a secret place that we can go to.  We thank You Lord for being our strength.

Your word says that we can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens us.  Help us to lean on You and not our own understanding; to acknowledge You in all of our ways.

Lord we know that time is counting down and that we are in the last and evil days where darkness covers the world and gross darkness the people.  We need a refilling every day to fulfill Your will, to fight the good fight, to do Your will no matter what comes our way.  In the name of Jesus through the power invested in us, we walk in the authority and power of the Holy Spirit; shedding love abroad, letting others see the glory of You, Lord.  You said in Your word, that signs will follow them that believe on Your name; that demons will flee, the sick will be healed.  But most of all, You said in Your word that men will know us by our love!

And now, Lord we pray that You continue to be with us, that You lead us and guide us, give us wisdom and knowledge to speak and act according to Your will.  Help us to walk upright before You, help us to present ourselves to a dying world as ambassadors, as beacons on a hill, as shining lights, and servants;  all for Your manifested glory; never forgetting that we are saved to help save and to be a blessing to others.

We ask all these things and we thank You for all things, in the precious name of Jesus, Amen

Remember, even as Jesus Christ said, nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Dealing with Satan

Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
2 Corinthians 2:11

Throughout the epistles, Apostle Paul warns the saints not to be deceived by the enemy; not to be ignorant of the many devices that he employs against the children of God.  Once in Christ, we are new creatures but the enemy always desires to return us to our former state.  We must be consistently and consciously aware that he is always seeking to destroy us; to take our focus off of God.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.  John 10:10

The enemy has to be dealt with, we can not simply close our eyes and wish him away, we must take action to remain victorious in God:

Ø    Avoid every satanic influence.

God warned Israel to avoid every type of Satanic influence:

. . . destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places. (Numbers 33:52)

God makes perfectly plan His instruction in knowing what is and is not of Him.  Read the additional instructions God gives:

When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God. For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.
   Deuteronomy 18:9-14

Israel was to have no contact with the work of Satan in any form.

Destroy anything you own that has to do with witchcraft or the work of the devil. This includes idols, lucky charms, potions, amulets, crystal balls, games, divining devices, and other similar items. Destroy any evil literature and music that does not glorify God. This is what the people in Ephesus did when they became believers:

Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men, and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.   (Acts 19:19)

Do not spend time in places where there is evil influence. The Bible records that God manifested Himself in special places such as the arc of the covenant and the upper room of a house on the Day of Pentecost. It is equally true that Satanic power can be manifested in special places dedicated to evil. This includes places where evil pictures are shown, drinking and riotous behavior is occurring, seances are being held, worship of Satan is occurring--anywhere sinful practices are going on. Avoid such environments, because Satan's power is especially strong there. You cannot pray, "Lead me not into temptation," and then put yourself in such a place:

But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.  (I Corinthians 10:20)

Do not associate with false leaders, teachers, prophets, ministers or apostles:

Abstain from all appearance of evil. (I Thessalonians 5:22)

Ø    Recognize god's power is greater than Satan.

God's organization, the true church, is more powerful than that of Satan:

And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.  (Ephesians 1:22-23)

To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God.  (Ephesians 3:10)

Jesus is the head of the Church. Believers are the body. If all things (including Satan and his religious structure) are under the feet of Jesus, then they are also under our feet because we are the body. "Under the feet" means they are under the power and authority which God has delegated to us. Jesus said we have power over "all the power of the enemy".

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Luke 10:19

This includes spiritual wickedness in high places. Satan and his hosts challenge God's power, but they certainly are not a threat to Him or His people. The Church is actually to demonstrate God's power to these evil principalities and powers!

Ø    Learn biblical power principles.

If you understand the principles of God's power, you will not be deceived by the counterfeit works of Satan.

Learn to rely on Jesus in every aspect of your life.  This can only come through application experience and knowledge of God's word.

Getting to Spiritual Maturity

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.  Romans 6:6

As a believer, we fight our enemy, Satan. This is a spiritual battle which takes place in our mind and through the circumstances of life around us. On occasion, we may lose a battle to the enemy. But this does not mean he has won the war. We may temporarily go down in defeat but through confession of our sins we can rise again in righteousness to continue on to perfection.

Jesus has already judged Satan. Satan was defeated by Jesus at Calvary. The power of God within us is greater than the power of the enemy:

...Greater is He that is within you than he that is in the world.   I John 4:4

You go on to perfection through the strength of this power, not human effort. Going on to perfection [spiritual maturity] is not a course in self-improvement. It is learning to live as the new creature we are through faith in Christ Jesus.

The following things are necessary for the growth in God that is required to live spiritually successful life:

A good spiritual foundation is required to go on to perfection

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.  And this will we do, if God permit.
   Hebrews 6:1-3

One of the purposes of the Word of God is to provide correction which results in perfection:

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.   II Timothy 3:16-17

Just studying God's Word will not perfect you. You must make a personal response to the Word:

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted Word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the Word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass; For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the word, this man shall be blessed in his deed.   James 1:21-25

You must not only look into God's law, but "continue" [live] according to it. You must make a personal response to the Word by laying aside all "filthiness and naughtiness.” Being a doer of the Word brings assurance of salvation:

But whoso keepeth His Word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: Hereby know we that we are in Him.  I John 2:5

Prayer results in perfection:

...always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.  Colossians 4:12

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies, a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  Romans 12:1-2

By consecrating your life to God you will know His perfect will. Consecration means to be set apart. When you consecrate your life to God you refuse to conform to the standards of the world. You choose to conform to the standards of God's Word.

One of the purposes of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is to assist the perfection process in your life.   God has placed ministry gifts in the church for...

...the perfection of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ;  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.  Ephesians 4:12-13

God uses spiritual leaders in the perfection process. You should submit to the leadership of those God sets in authority in the church. Submission to "proven" ministries means submitting to spiritual leaders whose ministries have shown conformity to God's Word. The role of spiritual leaders in the perfection process is revealed in Apostle Paul's writings:

Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith.  I Thessalonians 3:10

Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.
 Colossians 1:28

...always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.   Colossians 4:12

For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.  2 Corinthians 13:9

No one likes to suffer, but when suffering comes in the life of a believer it can have a positive purpose: Suffering results in perfection:

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered awhile, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.  1 Peter 5:10

Patience during times of suffering results in perfection:

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.   James 1:4

Part of the process of perfection is learning self-control. We are told to...

...cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.  2 Corinthians 7:1

One of the most difficult things to control is the tongue. But control of the tongue is a key to self-control of your whole life:

If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
   James 3:2

Correction received from mature believers is also part of the perfection process:

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual restore such an one in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.  Galatians 6:1

You will be on your way to perfection
[spiritual maturity] if you respond properly to such correction.

Let us be like Apostle Paul, always pressing toward the mark!

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
 Philippians 3:14

Satan is an Imitator and a Deceiver

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.  2 Corinthians 4:4

We need to be alert to the deceptive power of Satan which imitates the power of God.

We must be aware of spiritual wickedness in high places.  When Apostle Paul speaks of "spiritual wickedness in high places", he is referring to wicked spirits who have infiltrated the power and religious systems of the world. Satan has organized his evil forces to imitate the organization of the true Church of God and has set himself up among the powers of this world.  He has set up a form of worship in the spiritual "high places" of organized religion.

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:  (Colossians 1:16)

The infiltration of the religious world is obvious as Satan has established his system right in the true Church through evil people who have "crept in unawares"

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.  (Jude 4).

Satan has imitators right in the Church who demonstrate power, but it is not God's power. The structure Satan has established in the high places of religion is based on imitation and deception.

God established the true Church which is known as the "Body of Christ" of which Jesus is the head:

Now ye are the Body of Christ, and members in particular.   (1 Corinthians 12:27)

Satan has his own church which is called "a synagogue of Satan"

I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. (Revelation 2:9)

Satan has a doctrine:  God has a doctrine which is revealed in His holy Word, the Bible:

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2 Timothy  3:16)

The doctrine of Satan is called the "doctrine of devils"

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.          (2 Timothy 4:1)

The doctrine of devils is any teaching presented as truth which does not agree with the written Word of God.

Satan has a system of sacrifice:

We are told to present ourselves to God as a living sacrifice. This means we are to surrender in total allegiance to God.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  (Romans 12:1)

Satan, being a false imitator, demands sacrifices also:

But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. (2 Corinthians 10:20)

Satan demands total allegiance of body, soul, and spirit. There are actually services of sacrifice conducted where men and women dedicate themselves to the service of Satan. The blood sacrifice of humans and animals is also practiced.

Satan has his own communion.  The sharing of the communion bread and wine was started by Jesus as a way of remembering His sacrifice for the sins of all mankind on the cross (1 Corinthians 11:23-34). Satan counterfeits this with his own communion service:

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils; ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.  (Corinthians 10:21)

Satan has ministers.  God calls some believers to serve as pastors and minister to His Church by proclaiming the Gospel.

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  (Ephesians 4:11)

Satan also has ministers:

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.      (2 Corinthians 11:14-15)

Satan's ministers proclaim his “gospel” which is contrary to the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ:

Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the Gospel of Christ.  But though we, or an angel from Heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1:7-8)

Just because a message is delivered with a powerful style of presentation does not mean it is a message of the true Gospel.

Satan has a throne.  God has a throne in Heaven. Satan also has a throne, although we are not told its exact location:

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon (Satan) gave him his power, and HIS SEAT, and great authority. (Revelation 13:2)

Satan has worshipers.  There are many who worship the true God. Satan also has worshipers:

And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?   (Revelation 13:4)

Some worshipers of Satan pretend to be followers of Jesus:

The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;  The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. (Matthew 13:38-39)

Satan mixes the bad "seed" in with the good "seed" (true believers).

Satan has prophets.  God has set prophets in the church, men who are especially anointed to bring a direct message from Him to the church

And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.  (1 Corinthians 12:28)

Satan also has false prophets:

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.   (Matthew 24:11)

Satan has teachers.  God has anointed some people as teachers to explain His Word to others:

And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.  (1 Corinthians 12:28).

But all teachers are not from God. Satan has false teachers who spread his evil doctrine:

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.  And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.  And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. (2 Peter 2:1-3)

Satan's teachers bring in "damnable heresies," teachings which are false and cause division. They speak lies and are experts at mixing truth and error in a way that makes error acceptable.

Satan has apostles.  An apostle is a person who spreads the Gospel and establishes churches. Satan also has apostles doing his work throughout the world. They deceive people by imitating the true apostles:

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:13)

Satan's apostles become leaders of false cults and infiltrate churches and even become leaders in the churches.

Satan raises up false christs.  Satan has even imitated the Lord Jesus Christ by raising up false Christs. Jesus warned:

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.   For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.  (Matthew 24:4-5)

These false christs may use the name of Jesus. They may do many signs and wonders. But they are imitators of the power of God.

Satan has a communication system.  The Bible is a record of how God spoke to man in times past. God continues to speak to men today. Satan also speaks to man. His first words to humans resulted in their fall into sin (Genesis 3).

God has communicated to man through His written Word, the Bible. Satan's message is also being communicated through written word by evil magazines, books, motion pictures, and music. Communication from God through His written and spoken Word provide guidance for man in the affairs of life.

Satan has a system of false guidance accomplished through methods such as the following:
  • Astrology and horoscope: Which use stars to predict events and give guidance.
  • Readings of tea leaves, pictures, bumps on the head, palm of the hand and crystal balls. The formation of the tea leaves, lines in the human hand, crystal balls, and pictures are claimed to give guidance.
  • Witchcraft: Using spells, potions, charms, rituals, seances, divinations, methods of chance, visions, drawings, and similar unscriptural methods to receive guidance.

Satan has supernatural power.  Jesus promised supernatural power to his followers after they received the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.  (Acts 1:8).

Satan also gives supernatural power and authority

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon (Satan) gave him his power, and HIS SEAT, and great authority. (Revelation 13:2)

His demons create supernatural strength and energy. Satan gives both power and authority, as did Jesus. Satan can perform many supernatural signs and miracles:

For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.  (Revelation 16:14)

Jesus said:

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:22-23)

Note that Jesus said "I NEVER KNEW YOU".   These people with their impressive demonstrations of power were NEVER of God. They were deceiving counterfeits.

The only authentic power comes from God!

God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.
  (Psalm 62:11)
