* Jehovah Jireh - More Than Enough

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be:
but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like Him;
for we shall see him as He is.
1 John 3:2

This should be a goal of every believer; first to see Jesus in peace as He is and secondly, while on this earth, to be like Him in Godly character and demeanor - knowing one day that we shall be just like Him in heavenly places.

We, as believers should all be carrying the weight of God's glory within us.  However God will not allow His glory to rain down on us or in us or through us when we can’t keep our focus on Him; when we are distracted and caught up in the cares of this world.

The bible tells us:

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in the.  Trust ye in the Lord for ever; for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.  Isaiah 26:3-4

This is a great promise from God!  If you keep your mind centered on God, you can have peace despite every attack of the enemy.  You can have peace despite what you may be going through; though your way may look bleak, because we trust God, we know that it is going to work out.  And therein lays our peace in our faith and trust in God.  God gives us a commandment to be strong and of good courage.  This can and often is difficult to do in the midst of what we may be going through, but with this commandment, He asks the question and then gives the answer:

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.  Joshua 1:9

The word also tells us:

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and love and of sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7

So, we have to learn how to be spiritually strong, put on our armor of God so that we be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter . . . as the day of Christ is at hand.

Therefore, we need God to search our hearts; we need Him to try us and to know our thoughts and if there is any wickedness in our heart, remove it and lead us in His way and only His way for it is only His way that is everlasting.  Everything else on this earth is temporal and will not stand the test of time.

Our focus needs to be firmly stayed on Him, for our salvation is certainly nearer!  We already know that through Jesus we have a comforter but not only do we have a comforter, Jesus said:

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:  not as the world giveth give I unto you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.  John 14:27

Apostle Paul shared:

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:7

We have to get to a place in God that we are no longer troubled by the cares of this world.  We don’t want to be like the seeds that were sown in the thorns;  this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.  The word tells us:

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat ; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.  Luke 12:22

Dear heavenly Father,

We thank You for the dawning of a new day; for this day thus far.  We thank You for the life You’ve given us, for our health and for our strength.  We come to You heavenly Father with thanks giving in our hearts - knowing that You and only You are able to supply our every need; to equip us to run this race, to defeat everything that comes up against us, everything that is not like You; to be victorious in Your name!

We thank You heavenly father for a steadfast desire to serve You despite whatever obstacles come up against us  -  knowing that you say in your word to arm ourselves for suffering even as our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ suffered.   We thank you Lord for peace through You.  We thank you for the comforter; your Holy Spirit.  We thank you Lord because you are a sustainer of our mind; You are our rock, our solace, our strength an our joy!

We thank You Lord because You are the alpha and the omega; the first and the last, the author and finisher of our faith.  We thank You oh Lord because it is through You that we live, move and have our being.  Without You God we would be nothing; we are nothing but in You, Father, we have everlasting life.

We thank you God for Jesus who You sent here to save us and wash our sins away.  Through His blood, is the power to endure every bad and evil thing that comes against us.  In the name of Jesus, we plead the blood against every demonic force that seeks to come against Your believers, we plead the blood against every yoke of bondage, every deceitful spirit and every other force that is contrary to Your nature.   We thank you for healing, for deliverance in accordance to Your will.

We thank You heavenly father because there is a secret place in You where we can go, where You hide us from our enemies; where we can be refreshed in You.

Lord we praise You and honor You because You saw fit to call us out of a world of sin and shame and because we serve You; we know that suffering follows; that just as Jesus suffered; we are to arm ourselves likewise.  But we thank you Lord for Your grace and strength to endure.  For the grace and strength to run on in Your name.  We thank you because you’ve given us something on the inside that is greater than whatever comes up against us.   We believe in Your word Lord that if we live right, heaven belongs to us; that we have a reward in the end; that of eternal life.  My God, without You, we would fail, but we thank You Lord for Your precious gift of the holy spirit; the comforter that You sent back to keep us in our journey.

We need You Lord in our life to purge us of everything that is not like You so that we can live the life that You have purposed for us.  We need You Lord to search our hearts and our minds and remove everything that is not like You.

Lord, help us to be strong and of good courage knowing that You will never leave us nor forsake us.  You’ll be with us, You will lead us and guide us in the direction that we’re to take.

This day, Lord,  as we go forward in our daily activities,  help us Lord to think on those things which are true, which are noble, and right and pure and lovely, and admirable and praiseworthy;  keep all negative and detrimental thoughts from taking a hold in our mind.   Help us not to linger too long in places of negativity and ungodliness.

Lord, I pray that You help us to heed Your word and to make good decisions based on faith in You and the knowledge, application and power of Your word.  You said in Your word Lord to trust you with all of our hearts and to lean not on our own understanding.  In all of our ways, we are to acknowledge You and You will direct our path.  Help us Lord to lean on You and to heed Your word today.   When we trust in You, Lord, we don’t have to be worried or be concerned about the cares of this world because we have a hope and that hope is in You Lord.

And Lord, when we move, think, and act according to Your will and Your good pleasure, send Your  glory; let it rest on us so that your manifested power can be seen and felt by a world darkened by sin.  Let the power of your glory be seen and felt.  Let us be glory carriers for you Lord.

In Jesus' name, amen!

I pray that something was said to encourage us to go on in Jesus name.   I want to leave this final scripture with you:

If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of  the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord of one mind.  Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind, let each esteem other better than themselves.  Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the the things of others.  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  Philippians 2:1-5

So be encouraged to run this race all the way to the finish!
