Hold On, Your DUE Season Is Coming

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season
we shall reap, if we faint not.
Galatians 6:9

Giving glory to God today; recognizing that all that is, all that was, and all that is to come is because of God.
He is the Creator, the Lord and Savior of us all!

In order for us to get where God wants us to be is not always a comfortable thing.  We have to make adjustments, we sometimes have to bend but in that adjusting, bending season of our life, God is making us into what He needs us to be.  Sometimes we just flat out suffer.  There are many biblical power principles but the one that stands out for me is the power of the fellowship in suffering -

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death
 Philippians 3:10

- because suffering builds you up, strengthens you and lets you see exactly what you’re made of in God. We know that one of the ways that we suffer is through the circumstances of life. The account of Naomi is one of the best biblical examples of this type of suffering. Most people talk of the relationship between Ruth and Boaz, but there was also a very special bond between Ruth and Naomi so much so that Ruth followed Naomi to Bethlehem. In the first chapter of Ruth, the word of God lets us know that Naomi was in a very bitter-making circumstance due to the suffering she had endured at the loss of her husband and sons; she even recognized that God allowed it.

I went out full and the Lord hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the Lord hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?   Ruth 1:21

However, despite how she felt on the inside; knowing that there was nothing she or anyone else could do to bring back her husband and sons, she did not allow her bitter situation to influence her actions. She was still loving and attentive to Ruth who refused to remain behind and followed Naomi. Ruth was out of her element in a land that was strange to her and worshiping a God that she was only beginning to know. Ruth had a purpose in life and so did Naomi. It was God's purpose for Ruth to marry Boaz and it was also God's purpose to have Naomi get Ruth in that place and position to marry Boaz. She is truly example of God's word that your latter will be greater than your past.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.   Galatians 6:9

This is what I find so special about this relationship - that Naomi did not let her bitter situation influence or corrupt her relationship with Ruth. In Ruth 3, Naomi is giving Ruth instruction on how to begin a relationship with Boaz. Ruth was so loving and attentive towards Naomi that she did everything that Naomi told her to do without question. And we know the results is that she won the heart of Boaz and they were married.

So be encouraged to know that no matter what circumstance you find yourself , no matter what your lot in life may be, no matter what you may be going through, our stance should be that God is always in control; He either caused it or allowed it.  And so the bad feelings as a result of our negative situation should not be taken out on our brothers and sisters whom we are to love with the love of God.  We should strive to be like Naomi and give the best of ourselves; not sabotage, demean, back-stab, or give begrudgingly –

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves.    Philippians 2:3

because suffering builds you up, strengthens you and lets you see exactly what you’re made of in God; if we allow ourselves to endure.  We know that one of the ways that we suffer is through the circumstances of life.  This doesn’t mean that we give up or surrender in tired resignation.  The bible tells us

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Galatians 6:9

 – instead, use the full weight of the fruit of the spirit, of which endurance (or longsuffering) is a part of when dealing with others.

Our daily walk (how we live) can be controlled by Satan working through our flesh, the world, or demon powers if we permit it. We have the capacity within us not to have to be controlled by the world, the flesh, or the Devil.  The capacity comes when we learn to walk in the Spirit.   Apostle Paul stressed this to the church in Galatia when he said:

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
Galatians 5:16

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.   Galatians 5:25

To walk in the Spirit means to let God's Holy Spirit control our conduct and life.

Contrary to popular opinion, the flesh is not more powerful than the spirit. If we let the Holy Spirit manifest His power in us, He will quicken our mortal body of flesh. To "quicken" means to endue with life.  We do not have to live in the death of sin. God can quicken our spirit to new life:

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.  But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.  Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.  For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  Romans 8:10-14

To be led by the Spirit we must have the Holy Spirit within us. We must be born again of the Spirit:

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.   John 3:6-7

We have to be filled with the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who gives us power to walk in the spirit rather than the flesh.

It cannot be emphasized enough the importance of the Holy Spirit
in overcoming the world, the flesh, and the Devil.

Through the Holy Spirit, we are led by the Spirit instead of the flesh.

®      LET YOUR SPIRIT SPEAK BY THE HOLY SPIRIT:  God communicates to our spirit by the Holy Spirit:

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  Romans 8:14

The Holy Spirit also communicates directly to God from our spirit:

For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.   1 Corinthians 14:2

When we speak in the unknown language, which is the physical evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2), our spirit is communicating directly to God. When this happens, one of the important functions of the Holy Spirit is to pray according to the will of God:

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities; for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is in the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.   Romans 8:26-27

®       DEVELOP THE FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:  In contrast to the works of the flesh, develop the fruit of the Holy Spirit. This includes...

...love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. Meekness, temperance...   Galatians 5:22-23

®         DO NOT LIVE IN CONDEMNATION:  Satan uses the weaknesses of the flesh to make us live in condemnation. But Apostle Paul said:

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.   Romans 8:1

If we fail and engage in fleshly conduct, do not remain in condemnation. Repent and ask forgiveness:

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.   1  John 1:9

Prayer for the Day:

Dear heavenly Father, we come to You today grateful that You allowed us to see another day; that You woke us clothed in our right mind with our health and our strength.  We thank You Lord because You set forth the plan of our salvation, because You wrapped Yourself in flesh in the person of Jesus Christ and died on the cross for the redemption of our sins and we thank You for that.  We thank You for Your love that is greater than we can imagine.

Lord You said in Your word that if we ask, it shall be given, if we seek we shall find,  and if we knock the door shall be opened.  Lord we stand at the door knocking and we’re looking in faith at the door being opened to deliverance and healing, purpose and provision.  And Lord if there be any doubt in us, help our unbelief.  Help us to get to a place of total trust in You Lord.  You said in Your word, that faith the size of a mustard seed is all we need!

Help us Lord to abide in Your will and in Your way.  You tell us in Your word that He that dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.   We thank You Lord because You are our refuge, our strong tower, our fortress, our strength, our everlasting Father; you won’t leave us nor forsake us.  We thank You Lord because we can call on You day and night and You’re there to see about us.  We love You Lord because of who You are: the alpha and omega, the author and finisher of our faith, the creator of heaven and earth, the Lord God almighty, the omnipotent one, the sovereign one; the one that we can come to when everything else around us seems to be collapsing.

Lord we need You now like never before.  We need You!  Now is not the time to faint in our spirit.  Help us Lord to hold on, to endure, to place our hope – our earnest expectation in You!  Lord we need the fruit of the spirit:  love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, manifested within us, we need Your spiritual armor,  so that we’re able to stand against the wiles of the enemy, against the temptations that come up against us, against the struggles that we face everyday, Lord even against the perverseness of this sin-sick, sin-filled world, we need You.

We need Your strength and Your guidance to be all that You planned for us to be.  You said in Your word that You know the plans You have for us; plans of good and not evil to bring us to that expected end.  Lord in Your name, we are calling on You to enable our leaders; that we seek godly wisdom and knowledge, that we seek You in all our ways and that we not only hear Your voice but heed it.  Lord we pray that the body of Christ wake up and follow You in all of Your ways; that we learn to love everything that You love and hate everything that You hate!  Make it our desire to please You and not be pleasers of men.  Stir up the gifts within us; make us uneasy until we get to that place that is pleasing in You.  Take away doubt and fear, trouble our sleep and our prayers to give us a more honest and sincere desire to serve You.

Help us to say yes when You call our name.  We know Lord that sometimes we make mistakes and we mess up, but Your word tells us that You are faithful to forgive when we repent before You.  We thank You Lord, when others give up on us, You won’t.  Lord help us to keep a yes in our spirit, a yes in our soul.  Help us Lord not to lose our focus on You.  Help us to remember that You won’t give up on us.  Help us Lord when we think we can’t go on, when we've given up the will, let us lean on You, our fortress, our strong tower, help us to put our faith and trust in You Lord and only You.  Lord You said for us not to be weary in our well doing and not faint and we will reap in due season.  Help us to keep going, to hold to Your unchanging hand and not let go.

Lord, we want to be everything that You have called us to be; everything that You designed for us, we desire to do but we can’t do it without You.  Lord, even as King David said, cleanse our hearts, purify our hearts and minds, and renew in us a right spirit.  Help us to keep our minds stayed on You.  You said to pray without ceasing.  Give us a mind to serve You as good servants; wholly accepting of the call on our lives to do Your will.

Lord we are calling upon You to hear our prayer today as we pray for healing for ourselves and healing of our loved ones.  We pray for deliverance and the power to endure every negative situation that rises up against us.  Lord we pray in Jesus name, that You provide peace and comfort to those that have lost loved ones that You strengthen them and keep them in Your grace.

Lord we know that time is counting down and that we are in the last and evil days.  We need a refilling every day to fulfill Your will, to fight the good fight, to do Your will no matter what comes our way.  In the name of Jesus through the power you’ve invested in us, we walk in the authority and power of the Holy Spirit; shedding love abroad, letting others see the glory of You, Lord.  You said in Your word, that signs will follow them that believe on Your name; that demons flee and the sick are healed.  But most of all, You said in Your word that men will know us by our love!

Help us Lord to love even as You commanded it; to love You above all others and to love our fellow men even as we love ourselves. Bring unity and peace and take away bitterness and strife among Your people. You said in Your word that love covers a multitude of faults. Help us to see the God in our Christian brothers and sisters; help us to build each other up in You so that we can be a strong impenetrable force against the wickedness of this world in the name of Jesus. Lord season us with grace and humility. You said in Your word that You resist the proud but give more grace to the humble.

You tell us in Your word that if we walk in Your spirit, we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

And now unto You heavenly Father, the only One that is able to keep us from falling, and present us faultless before the presence of Your glory with exceeding joy, to You, the only wise God, our Saviour, to whom all glory, majesty, dominion and power belong, we thank You! In Jesus’ name, amen.

Be encouraged today to seek good counsel, even as Ruth did.

Remember it is through endurance of hard times that we become rooted in God. We don’t give up and we don’t give in, but

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.
Psalms 1:1-3

Be blessed and have a wonderful Jesus-filled, Holy Spirit inspired day!
