More Than Conquerors

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; 

To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, 

which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Revelation 2:7 

This is the day that the Lord has made and allowed us to see! And because we know His will is good, it’s perfect and it’s acceptable, we should rejoice in that!

Today, the focus of our prayer is on walking in the promise of God that we are overcomers.  His word tells us that we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus.  But in order to achieve this, there is a life that we must live that is written in God's word.  God gives us specific instructions on our lifestyle.  

For this is the will of God, even Your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:  That every one of You should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; Not in the lust of con-cu-pis-cence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned You and testified.  For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.  He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.  1 Thessalonian 4:3-8

Beloved, know that there is a place in God that we need to get to in order to achieve victory through Christ. 

We already know that in the will of God we are victorious.  God is omnipotent and because He has purposed it, it will come to past:    

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.  (Isaiah 55:11)

When His word said that we are conquerors, we have to believe that and walk in the authority of His words. 

So we want to ask God on this day for perseverance and strength to walk in the way that God would have us take.

Dear heavenly Father, we thank You this day for Your goodness and for Your mercy.  We thank You Lord because You woke us and allowed us to see another day.  Lord, You are the strength of our joy.  Our joy in You allows us to continue on in Your name.

Lord, I thank You because You are our strong tower.  You say in Your word that:

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.  Psalms 91:2

So Lord, we thank You for every mountain, every test, trial and tribulation that we’ve gone through because You've not only allowed us to come out victorious but through these situations, we've come to know You better and to trust in You more and more.

Lord, we praise You because You are our redeemer and we are redeemed through You.  We praise You for this heavenly Father.   We praise You Father; like the tree planted by the waters, we will not be moved.

Lord this morning, I am asking for a mighty move in Your name.  I'm looking for a miracle!  Lord someone needs to know that 

®     You are not dead, that You are still alive, 
®     You still reign, that all power belongs to You, 
®     You are the King of kings, the Lord of Lords, 
®    There is no one above You or beside You.  
®     You are the one true living God, the only wise God.  
®     You are incomparable!  

Someone needs to know that today Lord.  Show up in their lives in a mighty way.  Someone needs to be healed today of an ailment in their body, someone needs mental and emotional healing and someone else needs spiritual healing. We know You to be a God who is able beyond anything we think.    

And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,  Ephesians 1:19

Lord, right now, through the authority given us in the name of Jesus and His blood that was shed for the remission of our sin and the power of your Holy Spirit, I bind up everything that is not like You and I pray that You send peace, healing and deliverance to those that need it and are seeking You.  Lord, let Your miraculous power be demonstrated in their life so they will know as You say in Your word:

Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know , I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The LORD.  Jeremiah 16:21

And when You do it this one time, Lord, I pray that they open their hearts, minds and soul to You and tell You ‘thank You Lord!  I realize that it is Your sovereign power that produced this change in me.  Lord, I’m ready to serve You.’

Everything that is done and everything we do is for Your glory, not ours.  Lord I pray that Your glory be revealed in our lives through the life that we live in You; a lifestyle that is pleasing to You.  A lifestyle that allows others to see You in us and causes them to want to serve You also.

Bless Your holy name God!  In You we are more than conquerors!

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded , that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present , nor things to come , Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.   Romans 8:37-39

We are more than conquerors, Lord, but You get the glory!  Lord we never want to forget where we come from.  It is because of You that we live, move and have our very being.

For in him we live, and move, and have our being; . . .  Acts 17:28

Lord we thank You for Your amazing grace.  You tell us in Your word

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  2 Corinthians 12:9

Lord we thank You for the peace that only You can give.  You said Lord that when we think on and do certain things that You will give us unsurpassed peace.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned , and received , and heard , and seen in me, do : and the God of peace shall be with You.  Philippians 4:8-9

Lord we want to be in Your will.  Help us Lord to say yes to Your will, yes to Your way and yes to Your word.  Purify us Lord to be able to do those things that You have purposed for us and called us to do.  Now is the time to call upon Your name Lord, knowing that You are the author and finisher of our faith.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Hebrews 12:2

Lord we pray that You have Your will in our life today.  Bless our comings and our goings,  Help us to remember that we are ambassadors for You, living epistles, Your representatives, lively stones, set apart, beacons on a hill that others may be drawn out of the darkness into the light.

We  ask all these things and we thank You for all things, in the precious name of Jesus, Amen

Final thought:

To those of You that have been wounded either spiritually or by the cares of this world and You can’t seem to find Your way, 

know that God loves You and He has a plan; 

a purpose for You in His time and in His way,

but we must be positioned in Him so that He can move in our life.  Like King David, when his village was ravished by the enemy, he was despondent and rightly so; those things that he and his troops loved and cherished had been stolen from them.  But, he didn’t act recklessly, he prayed to God.

And David enquired at the LORD, saying , Shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them? And He answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.  1 Samuel 30:8

So, I am praying that you get your life together in God and then recover everything the enemy has stolen from you; your peace of mind, your joy in God, your consecration, a lifestyle pleasing to God.  TAKE IT BACK!
