Holistic Healing: Financial

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper
and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
3 John 1:2

There are 5 major areas wherein we are promised holistic healing, they are:
  • Spiritual
  • Emotional
  • Mental
  • Physical
  • Financial

Financial:
The health that God desires for us is holistic meaning it encompasses our entire being including those things that make for a healthy life.  Is it any wonder that God says He will 'heal the land' or 'blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle,' - because His desire is to see us prosper not only spiritually but naturatually.
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.  1 Chronicle 7:14
And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:  And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.  Deuteronomy 28:1-2
King David has this realization:
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.  Psalm 37:25

®  Account example

Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the Lord: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.  And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.  Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.   And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.  So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.  And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.  Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.  2 Kings 4:1-7
From the example above, we can see financial success is tied both biblically and naturally to the willingness to follow the instructions given.  We may not understand them, but follow the instructions nonetheless!

Deuteronomy is an excellent discourse on the relationship of obeying God's commands and the benefits that result as well as the resultant consequences if we are not obedient.
But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:  Deuteronomy 28:15
